We invite you to see our talented 5th - 8th grade students perform one of the best known of Sophocles' tragedies and certainly, one of the most produced and/or adapted plays of the Greek classical theatre, throughout the centuries.
A multi-theme and multi-level play, where the character of Antigone, going against the state's law, buries her dead brother and defiantly, she challenges and faces the deadly consequences.
“Sophocles is the playwright of heroism, and Antigone is the first female character in drama to be a hero in the full sense of the word. She is the first conscientious objector.” - Marianne McDonald, Scholar and Philanthropist
