About the author
Dr Maria Dourida Mitarachi was born in North Greece, in 1976. She studied Physical Therapy in Athens (Greece) and London (UK). She has worked as a clinical physical therapist in Ghent (Belgium) and as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Bioscience at the University of East London (UK). She has also studied Education in London (UK) and she gained a doctorate degree at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece). She studied Creative writing in 2011 in Athens (Greece) and she started writing children’s books when her daughter was born. Maria published her first book in 2016 with Diametros publishing house. The 2nd edition was published by her own Publishing house (Once Upon A Book) in 2020. Her second book was published in 2020 too (Once Upon A Book). She loves music and lives in Athens (Greece) with her husband, their daughter and their two dogs.
